We met at work, but it wasn’t just any ordinary meeting—our coworkers unknowingly had a hand in bringing us together during a week full of team events known as Summit Week. What started as casual conversations and shared moments quickly turned into something neither of us expected.
Out of all the events that week, one stood out the most—a night at Pinstack. Somewhere between the games, the laughs, and a few rounds of Electric Jellyfish IPA, we started realizing how much we had in common.
From music to movies, everything just clicked.
As the night was winding down, neither of us was ready for it to end. After the bar closed, we stepped outside, still talking, still laughing—neither one of us making a move to leave.
“So… what’s your favorite song?”
“Half a Song,” she said. “Don’t judge me.”
“Judge you? I love Cody Johnson!”
In one of those moments you don’t overthink, Justin pulled out his phone and hit play—Half a Song by Cody Johnson.
“Come on,” he said, reaching out his hand.
Right there in the middle of the street, we danced—our own version of The Notebook.
From that night on, everything changed. What started as a simple connection turned into something real, something effortless, and something we both knew was worth holding onto.
And ever since then, we’ve been building a life together—one moment, one memory, and one dance at a time.
